Dedication To The Sacred Feminine

I dedicate the works of Carol Lorraine - Know Thy-Self to the Sacred Feminine. This is a place where we honour being female; all shades of femininity as represented by the Triple Goddess1 who symbolises the three faces of the Great Goddess and her multiple roles of maiden, mother and crone.

The maiden goddess emerging into her strength, the mother goddess nurturer and source of all nourishment and the crone goddess representing death and transformation - the death of conditioning and the transformation into her Sovereign Self. The Sacred Feminine inhabits all three aspects, no matter what her age - forever present and always sacred.

Mythology is rich in its descriptions of the esteem, dignity and reverence for the feminine with our Goddess gifts highly valued and honoured in pre-patriarchal times as recorded in the history that was - before the script was rewritten. In exploring who we are in truth, we can begin to reclaim “the goddess who is incarnate in all women”2, and re-image the stories which have framed the context for our lives. Thus, as we bring into ‘being’ our feminine consciousness, we gradually and ever so gently, draw the veil which has choked cloaked our perceptions of who we really are.

It’s time to think differently about our feminine selves and recognise that our gracefulness and femininity honours the beauty and the power within us - no force necessary.  We do this by redirecting our focus from the outer world of striving, to the poise of our inner domain. Being mistress of self, the only person you have control over, is the pathway to our authentic feminine power. And the only permission needed, is that of yourself. Fancy that.

The sacred feminine,
embodies her sovereignty over self,
she is pure sapere.
